Done!

Finally, we have the carseat installed!!! Jeff and I nearly passed out of heat exhaustion and lost our religion, but Jeff finally got it done. It's always worrisome when Jeff has a hard time figuring things out because he can do anything.....Jeff's the guy everyone calls when something goes wrong. He's everyones hero at one time or another....please let Ty be like Jeff!

Jeff's mom, Debbie, got the base and car seat for us, so hopefully she will approve of our installation! We really do love it!

Although everything is installed in the Volvo, I suspect by Christmas time, Ty will be in a new ride. This is the trunk....yep, the whole thing is filled with the stroller. Now I understand why all new parents rush out to get an SUV. Who knew this little guy would need so much stuff!?!?!

So, that's the latest at the Bowman household. We are just continuously checking things off our baby to do list. We go back to the doctor on Tuesday (8/3) and we will learn how close we are to meeting our son. We will let you all know the results!

Remember to vote on when you think Ty will arrive in our fun poll to the right. Jeff and I are both always early, so if this child comes late I think we will die!

XOXO!

35 weeks...35 weeks!!!!

I cannot believe we are at 35 weeks!!! Ty will be here in the blink of an eye!!! This week, we are attending our last class at Summit-the breast feeding class, but our dear friends the Scruggs will be there too! Thank goodness Jeff will have a friend this time.

I'm considered "full term", so we are excited for Ty to make his debut any day. He is measuring right on track. He should be about 5-5 1/2 pounds and about 18" long. So, please everyone keep sending good thoughts and wishes our way.

We can't wait to post pictures of our son. We are so happy and so proud already we could burst.

XOXO!!!!

PS-I've added a little poll at the side to see when everyone thinks Ty will arrive. I love the guessing game!!!

Love and loose ends...

We have a pediatrician...finally!!!! We are thrilled to have found Dr. Lett at Children's Clinic East. We loved her and the practice, and we are beyond grateful to Kristin Maggart for referring this group to us.

Now that we have a pediatrician, we feel ready to have this kiddo! We've got our hospital bags packed, and we feel just about as ready as we can get! Remember to let us know if you want to be called when Ty arrives.

This week, we were delighted to get our custom mattress and fitted sheet from Faye-Faye for the crib. She has been working nonstop to get it ready, and we can't wait to post a picture of Ty sleeping in his crib!

This precious gift came from Joy Adams who works with Jeff at MTEMC. She is the most wonderful lady, and she handmade this quilt for Ty. We are completely overwhelmed with time, attention, and care she put into this. We know this will be an item we will treasure forever! Ty is one lucky little boy!

How cute is this?!? We all know by next summer, Ty will be just like his daddy. So, the Jenning's ladies (Betsy, Mallory, Madeline, Mollie, and Merrit) made this MTEMC onesie for Ty. I can't wait to take a picture of Ty in this and Jeff in his MTEMC shirt (remember he had one on the day we found out that Ty was a boy!).
So, as you can see we are just waiting, waiting, waiting (but we will wait as long as we need to for our little miracle). Starting next week, we will find out if there is any progress at my doctor's visits. I can't believe we are already at that point. Before we all know it baby Ty will be here! We can't wait to introduce him to you all. We've waited a long time for this magical, amazing, wonderful, life changing event. Fingers crossed all continues to go well.
XOXO!

We're in the homerun stretch...

We are 7.5 weeks away from Ty's arrival! We are so excited we can't stand it! If you want to know when Ty makes his debut, please call, email, or text either Jeff or myself and let us you want to be on the call list as well as if you want the midnight call (if that happens to be when the action happens).

We have decided we will have Ty at Summit Hospital in Hermitage. Above is a map (it's super easy to find) and here is the address:
Summit Medical Center
5655 Frist Boulevard
Hermitage, TN 37067

Additionally, I thought it might be nice to see a picture of Dr. Rhonda Halcomb. She's been with us since the beginning, and our fingers are crossed she'll be the one to deliver little Ty. She has been wonderful throughout this entire pregnancy.

On a final note, on the advice of Summit Hospital, we have made the decision to not let anyone who smokes hold Ty. There are so many health risks associated with infants and second and third hand smoke, that we just want to protect Ty as much as possible. We appreciate everyone's understanding on this topic and hope not to offend. We've waited so long for this kiddo, and we just want him to have the best start in life (one of the biggest risks is double the chance of SIDS {Sudden Infant Death Syndrome}).

Otherwise, we are are just finishing checking things off our "baby to-do" list. Jeff and I are both starting to get antsy. We can't imagine how wonderful our crazy, sleepless life is about to be!

XOXOX!
