26 Week Update

We are cruising right along! I can't believe we are already at the 6.5 month mile marker...this pregnancy is flying by! Ty is about 2 pounds at this point and is about 13-14 inches in length. We can't wait for August 29th to get here!!!

Ty's stroller came last week. I am so excited about it. I knew as soon as I started reading the information about pram style strollers we had to have one. We decided to go with this German engineered stroller by I'Coo because it also converts to a forward or rear facing seat option when he gets bigger (among many other reasons).
My next doctor's visit is June 1st. I do the gestational diabetes test that visit-yuck! So, please keep your fingers crossed that everything continues to go smoothly. We love you guys and we can't wait to introduce Ty to you!

Best 1st Mother's Day

Today is my first Mother's Day, and everyone has made it so special. Here's a little recap of the day. Me and my baby's daddy before brunch with my family.

My sweet husband surprised me with these gorgeous flowers for my first Mother's Day. It was the perfect way to start the day.

Here's a picture of the girls after brunch (me, mom, and Lauren). We all ate way too much, and we couldn't get the boys to take any pictures.

Isn't it amazing how your mom always knows exactly what you need?!?! My mom got me a sweet card and some pajamas. I just hope I can wait until the hospital to wear them. They're perfect!!!

And lastly, my sweet sister-in-law (well, and brother too) got baby Bowman all these precious little outfits. They are adorable and perfect! Lauren knows how much I love soft and sweet baby things and these items were just too much. I can't wait to dress our baby boy in them-I LOVE these outfits!
You might notice the "T" pacy clip. We announced today that baby Bowman's name will be Ty Jacob Bowman. Lauren remembered that Jeff and I had always loved the name Ty and got it just in case that ended up being his name. Sister-in-law is good!
I'm enjoying every second of my first Mother's Day-spending it with family was the best way to spend it. I can't wait to celebrate it next year with Ty!

3 months to go...

I can't believe we are basically 90 days out from the arrival of this kiddo!!! Wow, has the time flown by.Here is an updated "belly shot." Several of you have been asking for one and here it is! This is what I look like at 23 weeks. Baby Bowman is about a 1.5 pounds and approximately 13 inches long. Everything is measuring great and checking out on track. We couldn't be more excited!

How adorable is this hat?!?! I can't wait for baby Bowman to wear it. Aunt Lissy (Alissa Hudson) is absolutely spoiling our child. The really funny part of this hat and an adorable outfit is that Alissa bought it before we knew we were having a boy. We both took it as a sign that this kiddo would be a boy!

As many of you know, Jeff and I took a 4 week birthing class. I had to practically drag Jeff to the first class, but by the end even he agreed he was glad we took the class. We had a wonderful instrustor and we feel about as prepared as we could at this point.

And lastly, here is a little peek at some baby furniture. Jeff's friend Richard Dillon surprised us with a custom cradle. We are completely overwhelmed with this generous and meaningful gift. Baby Bowman is one lucky kid!

Stay tuned, there is so much to come! We have a big name reveal coming as well as pictures of the nursery. We just appreciate you guys so much. This has been the most amazing, wonderful, incredible time in our lives, and we can't wait for our lives to totally change. We are so in love with this child. And the part that melts my heart is every night (and Jeff may kill me for telling this), Jeff rubs, kisses, and talks to his son. It is by far the best time in our lives.
XOXO!
