More Baby Bowman Love

Only a diva stylist would present the mommy to be with a chic black dress-perfect for my hot summer days ahead. One of my favorite people in the world, Monte Durham, sent this to me and I LOVE it! It's the perfect staple for my maternity wardrobe.....thanks Uncle Marty!!!!

Then, I got another surprise in the mail yesterday from my favorite Nattie (Mary Natalie)! It was my first funny card, which is absolutely perfect since most of the time all we do is laugh and cut up with each other. Nat is my comic relief, and my friend who will tell me like it is....even if right now I want to believe I will have a perfect little angel baby! Love you, buddy!

Isn't That Sweet

This week baby Bowman is about the size of a grape...isn't that sweet!

I'm still feeling great and squeaking through with no sickness so far. Thank you for all the phone calls, emails, and texts to check on us. I have the BEST friends and family.

Best Friends

I think I'm getting spoiled! Today, these AMAZING flowers from Ilex came from my dearest and bestest friends Phillip and Alissa Hudson. I don't even know what to say....I'm a hormonal pregnant woman who is overwhelmed with all the love.I can't wait for baby Bowman to see how much everyone loved him/her before he/she was ever even here. This really is the best time in our lives. I love you guys....thanks for being the absolute BEST!!!!

Our First Picture

It's official, we're having a baby! I went in for my first ultrasound today (1/20), and this is what our little kidney bean looks like (that's about the size at this point).

We got the great news that baby Bowman has a strong heartbeat of 107 and everything appears right on track.

We are elated!

Perfect gifts

On Friday, 1/15, we got a wonderfully special gift from Auntie E (Elizabeth), Seth, and Addison. I have been dying for one of the sweet frames that holds an ultrasound and I got one! I absolutely adore it, and I cannot wait to put a picture of baby Bowman in there.

I'm excited they realized Jeff might need a little help along the way too! He asked if the book told him how crazy I was going to be throughout the pregnancy...I emphaticly said YES!!! Let's see how much it helps....

I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I'm fortunate to have amazing friends and family, and incredibly lucky to be a mom. I just can't image life getting any better than it is right now.

Special Moments

Here is what my first doctor's visit looked like (January 12)! They gave me all of these goodies-it was like Christmas. It was a great first check up, and I'm excited we get an ultrasound next week. Stay tuned, we'll have our first look at baby Bowman (let hope the little kidney bean takes after me).



Last night (January 13), I got all these fabulous books from my brother and sister-in-law (let's face it, Lauren should probably get all the credit!). I started reading A Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy last night and it is hands down one of the funniest books I have ever read. I laughed so hard I cried.

This will be my gift to all future pregnant friends....it tells you all the stuff your doctor won't, can't, or is too scared to since we pregnant ladies are a raging ball of horomes!

Thanks Brent and Lauren-I can't wait for ya'll to be Aunt Lauren and Uncle Brent.

And lastly, I had to put this up. This is my very first congratulations card (it came January 13). It came from my favorite and dearest Aunt Darlene. Of course, I cried. All the love and thoughtfulness just overwhelms me.

Reading Adventures

So, I've bought some books (like all first time mothers), and I'm reading every night. There's so much to learn...wow!!! Heres the first round out books, I'm sure there will be more to come. I'm also getting by daily information from www.pregnancy.com.

If you're a mom and reading this, I'll take all the advice you can give.
